Die CMA stellt die Nominees für die diesjährige Award Verleihung vor

(hps.29.8.2002) In einer Pressekonferenz am heutigen Donnerstag (29. August 2002) stellten die Mitglieder der beiden Gruppen SHeDAISY und Rascal Flatts sowie die SängerInnen Steve Azar, Chris Cagle, Tammy Cochran, Andy Griggs und Blake Shelton die Finalisten für die diesjährige Award Show der Country Music Association (CMA) vor. Dabei schnitt Alan Jackson mit 10 Nominierungen am besten ab, wie Überraschungsgast Brad Paisley der erstaunten Presse und dem anwesenden Fernsehen mitteilte. Damit stellte Alan Jackson den seit 1970 bestehenden Rekord von Merle Haggard ein, der es damals auf  9 Nominierungen brachte. Die Award-Verleihung findet am 6. November 2002 im Grand Ole Opry House statt.
